I did my bit - did you? #MandelaDay67min

For many South Africans it's been a "Mandela Week" .... it was all about giving your TIME, not money but time...we all complain about not having enouhg time to do anything. So this was the perfect oppportunity for South Africans to just spare 67minutes of their time and give back to those in need. Many were involved in various projects, from visiting old age homes to planting trees at schools to feeding the needy to blanket drives to soup kitchens to play day for kids and the list goes on and on.

I am very pleased to say that i was involved in painting classrooms at a school out in Delft - Cape Town  (Vergenoed Primary School) where one teacher put in an intiative to have his classroom painted with donations coming from his own pocket because he believed that the scholars should not face the same environment at school as they do at home. They should look forward to coming into the schoolgrounds and deem the school as a place of comfort.

We managed to get through painting 5 classrooms as a team of 9 (5 ladies and 4 gents) - I can say we did a very pleasing job indeed *Hi5's* !!! The scholars were excited and happy to see their newly revamped classrooms and so were the teachers...There's a lot that can still be done but it's the start that makes all the difference, we will definately be visiting that school again to help in other ways were we can as there is a list of issues that still need to be attended to.

But again - Im proud to say that I was part of the greater SA audience that made a child smile this week :)

Happy Fabulous Friday Fashionistas
